The QM-120+ combines two powerful laser technologies into a single, specialized laser platform
The Q-switched Nd:YAG laser produces ultrashort, high-peak-power pulses (typically in the nanosecond range) at a wavelength of 1064 nm (its 532 nm frequency-doubled output). This laser removes pigment through photomechanical and photothermal effects—breaking up ink and melanin particles, allowing them to be eliminated by the body.
The diode laser arm emits longer, controlled pulses (typically around 808-810 nm) that selectively heat and destroy hair follicles through photothermolysis, inhibiting hair growth. Both systems allow the operator to adjust spot size, energy density, and pulse duration based on skin type and indication. Shared features such as active cooling and real-time parameter control enhance safety and patient comfort when switching between Q-switched laser and diode laser treatments within the same session.
- Diode laser – Emitting a stable 808 nm wavelength, it penetrates deep into the dermis, targeting hair follicles while sparing surrounding tissue, supporting safe and long-lasting hair removal.
- Nd:YAG Laser – In Q-switched laser treatments, ultrashort pulses break down tattoo pigment and melanin into tiny fragments that are naturally metabolized by the body. Long-pulsed Nd:YAG modes treat blood vessels and stimulate collagen production for skin regeneration.
- Toner Facial Principle – Toner absorbs oil and impurities. 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser breaks down toner and debris, providing a deep cleansing, exfoliating, and antibacterial effect.
FAC technology:
The FAC (Fast Axis Collimator) employs principles of optical refraction or reflection to correct and collimate the laser beam's divergence along the fast axis. According to the laws of geometrical optics, by selecting lenses with appropriate curvature radii and focal lengths, the light rays passing through the lens can meet specific propagation conditions, thereby reducing the beam's divergence and achieving beam collimation.
By using FAC technology, the Diode laser can emit parallel and precise laser light, improving treatment efficiency while reducing patient discomfort.
